One product, one promise
We install one thing — and that focus is the point.
The Interlock® Lifetime Roofing System: interlocked aluminum panels made in Canada by Interlock Roofing Ltd. We are not a general roofing company that also offers metal. This system is all we do.
Alberta is hard on a roof in its own ways. Summer hailstorms strip granules and crack shingles. Chinook winds can push winter temperatures above freezing and back below it within days, and every swing is another freeze-thaw cycle; the same winds lift shingle tabs. Then there is snow load, a long winter and strong sun at elevation. Aluminum absorbs nothing, is light on the framing, and locks on four sides with the fasteners covered. Ice dams come from heat escaping the attic and from ventilation, not from the roofing itself, so we look at insulation and venting with you before we quote. Every roof carries the manufacturer's Guardian Lifetime Limited Material Warranty, which transfers once when you sell.

Where we stand
One system, made in Canada, installed in Alberta since 1999
One system
We install the Interlock® Lifetime Roofing System and nothing else: aluminum panels made by Interlock Roofing Ltd., locked on all four edges and fastened out of the weather. Interlock Metal Roofing (Alberta) Ltd. is the certified Interlock® roofing contractor for Alberta.
Since 1999
Interlock Metal Roofing (Alberta) Ltd. was founded on February 5, 1999. The company has installed one roofing system on Alberta homes ever since, and the job book records every roof.
Made in Canada
The panels are manufactured by Interlock Roofing Ltd. at its plant in Delta, BC. Made in Canada, installed in Alberta by our own Alberta company: the people who sell your roof, install it and answer for it are the same Alberta team.
One office, two markets
Our one office is in Calgary, and it serves all of Alberta in two markets, each with its own website and town pages: Calgary, Central and Southern Alberta, from Red Deer south to Lethbridge and Medicine Hat; and Edmonton and Northern Alberta, from north of Red Deer through Edmonton, St. Albert and Cold Lake. Our busiest towns in the job book are Calgary, Edmonton and Sherwood Park.
Checkable
Roofer is an optional certification trade in Alberta, so a roofer doesn't need a trade certificate to work. The checks that matter are a prepaid contracting business licence from Service Alberta when a contractor signs you up at home and takes money before the work is done, WCB coverage, liability insurance, a written contract and a warranty you can read in full. You can look up the licence yourself on Service Alberta's Find a Licensed Business search.

Made in Canada, Canadian owned and operated

Interlock Metal Roofing (Alberta) Ltd. is a Canadian owned and operated Alberta company, founded February 5, 1999, with its office in Calgary. Made in Canada, installed in Alberta by our own Alberta company.
BBB A+ and Baeumler Approved

One certified product, described accurately
Heavy-gauge aluminum, roughly 2 to 3.5 kg per square metre depending on profile, four-way interlocking panels with concealed fasteners, and the AAMA 2605 Alunar® coating system. Class A Fire Rated Available, as a complete assembly. Minimum 3/12 roof slope on every profile.
Our own proof, nobody else's
Every review on this site is from an Alberta homeowner, 1069 of them. Nothing is borrowed from another province or state to make the page look fuller, and the job book behind our roof count lists Alberta roofs only.
A warranty that transfers
The manufacturer's Guardian Lifetime Limited Material Warranty covers material and finish for as long as the original purchaser owns the home, and transfers once. Workmanship is excluded; our own 10-year labour warranty covers the installation. Read the terms and the exclusions before you sign; we'd rather you heard them from us.

FAQs
About us, answered directly
Who installs Interlock metal roofs in Alberta?
Interlock Metal Roofing (Alberta) Ltd., from 210, 3750 46 Ave SE, Calgary, AB T2B 0L1. We are the certified Interlock® roofing contractor for Alberta, founded in 1999, and we serve both Calgary and Edmonton from that one office.
Is Interlock Metal Roofing (Alberta) Ltd. the same company as the manufacturer?
No. Interlock Roofing Ltd. manufactures the panels at its plant in Delta, BC and issues the Guardian material warranty. We are the Alberta company that sells and installs them, from our office in Calgary.
Do you have an office in Edmonton?
No. Our only office is in Calgary, and it serves the Edmonton market and the rest of Northern Alberta as well as Calgary and Southern Alberta. Consultations are on Zoom or at your home.
Are roofers licensed in Alberta?
Roofer is an optional certification trade in Alberta, so a roofer doesn't need a journeyperson certificate to work. Separately, a business that signs contracts with you in person away from its own place of business, at your home for example, and takes money before all the work is done must hold a prepaid contracting business licence from Service Alberta. Check it on Service Alberta's Find a Licensed Business search, and ask for WCB coverage, liability insurance, a written contract and a warranty you can read.
Which parts of Alberta do you serve?
Metro Calgary; Metro Edmonton; Central Alberta (Red Deer, Lacombe, Olds, Sylvan Lake, Rocky Mountain House); Southern Alberta (Lethbridge, Taber, Cardston, Pincher Creek, Fort Macleod, Claresholm); Medicine Hat, Brooks and Redcliff; the Foothills and Crowsnest Pass; Banff, Canmore and the Bow Valley; Peace Country (Grande Prairie, Peace River, Slave Lake); the West Country (Edson, Hinton, Whitecourt); and East-Central Alberta (Vegreville, Vermilion, Wainwright, Lloydminster).
Has Interlock Metal Roofing (Alberta) Ltd. won any awards?
Yes. Interlock Metal Roofing (Alberta) Ltd. won the 2026 GuildQuality GuildMaster Award for service excellence, which is based on surveys of the company's own customers. We are also a BBB Accredited Business with an A+ rating and a Baeumler Approved contractor.
Who manufactures the roofing you install?
Interlock Roofing Ltd., in Canada. The panels are heavy-gauge aluminum, interlock on all four edges and carry the Alunar® coating system. The manufacturer publishes its test reports and certifications at interlockroofing.com.
Does a metal roof help with wildfire risk on an acreage or mountain property?
It can be part of it. Class A Fire Rated Available, as a complete assembly (two layers of GAF VersaShield® over 12 mm (15/32-inch) plywood, per ASTM E108; the Canadian standard is CAN/ULC-S107), and aluminum does not ignite. No roof is fireproof: embers get into gutters, vents and gaps at the roof edge, so the details around the roof matter as much as the panels.
