What Leduc County homeowners say
“They did an excellent job, we are very pleased with the look of our new roof. We had a busy W/E when the roof was being done with lots of visitors but it did not cause any problems, the installers were courteous and kept a safe environment around the front of the house.”
“I think Neil did a great job. He is a great salesman.”
“I already have recommended Interlock Roofing to a friend. I can't think of any areas Interlock Roofing could have improved on. Everything looks good.”
“The cleanup could have been improved. I found small pieces of debris.”

“A follow up call and site visit would have been nice as I had some questions about some shingles that appear higher than others”
Roofing in Leduc County: what to plan for
Hail: what the rating covers, and what it doesn't
Edmonton gets damaging hail too: the storm of August 2, 2019 hit west Edmonton, Spruce Grove and Stony Plain, and the Insurance Bureau of Canada put insured damage at about $90 million. Interlock's Slate, Shake, Cedar Shingle and Mediterranean Tile aluminum panels carry a UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating, listed by Intertek under Delta Building Products. No roof is hail-proof: very large hail can dent metal, the material warranty excludes hail larger than 38 mm (1.5 in), and hail damage is a matter for your home insurance. Ask your insurer how they treat an impact-rated roof; we can give you the documents.
Deep cold, and freeze-thaw at both ends of winter
Winters around Edmonton are long and cold, and in spring and fall the temperature crosses freezing day after day. Each cycle loosens asphalt granules and curls shingles, and cedar takes on water that freezes in the grain. An Interlock roof has no granules to lose and nothing to soak up water: the aluminum panels lock to each other on all four sides with the fasteners concealed, and wind resistance is warranted to 193 km/h (120 mph) installed to manufacturer specification.
Snow that slides, where you want it to
Snow sits on a Northern Alberta roof for months. Interlock panels weigh roughly 2 to 3.5 kg per square metre, a fraction of concrete tile, and smooth aluminum lets snow slide rather than sit, so we plan snow guards over entries, walkways, decks and the driveway at the quote. Ice dams start with heat escaping into the attic, so we look at insulation and ventilation with you as well.
Acreages: house, garage and shop to match
Plenty of our work around Edmonton is on acreages in Strathcona, Sturgeon, Parkland and Leduc counties. One profile and colour can run across the house, the detached garage and the shop, with snow guards planned over the doors you use in winter.
The look of slate or cedar, without the weight
Interlock's Slate, Cedar Shingle and Shake profiles keep the look on an older bungalow, a new infill or a farmhouse at roughly 2 to 3.5 kg per square metre, a fraction of concrete tile or natural slate. Every profile needs a minimum 3/12 roof slope.
Condo and townhouse complexes
In a condominium the board of the condominium corporation usually decides on the roof, often with a reserve fund study in hand. We give boards one profile and colour across every building, the product documents they ask for, and both warranties in writing.
Consultations on Zoom or at your home
There is no Edmonton office: our one office is in Calgary, and it serves Edmonton and Northern Alberta as well as the south. The free consultation is on Zoom or at your home: we go through profiles and colours, measure the roof and give you a fixed price in writing. Our own crews do the install, and the manufacturer's Guardian Lifetime Limited Material Warranty and our 10 Year Limited Labour Warranty come with it.
